In 2024, CPC Inox launched a major landscape and environmental redevelopment project at its Gessate facility, based on a specialist agronomic assessment. The initiative included the planting of 80 new trees and more than 1,500 ornamental plants selected from species with high air-pollutant absorption capacity, maximizing environmental benefits. 

The new green area makes a significant contribution to climate mitigation, with an estimated carbon sequestration capacity exceeding 9 tonnes of CO₂ per year, amounting to approximately 282 tonnes over a 30-year period. This is made possible by the plants’ ability to sequester carbon in their tissues, whilst at the same time improving the local microclimate.

In 2025, the project continued through ongoing maintenance activities, which are essential to ensuring the health and longevity of the vegetation and preserving the carbon stored over time. Continuous care of the green area is therefore a fundamental component of the initiative, ensuring its long-term environmental effectiveness.
